SKU & Weight
📌 Add a custom SKU and weight to an app option for more accurate tracking and fulfillment. (Advance Plan Feature)
🔧 Settings

⭐ Tip
Since Shopify does not allow modifying a product’s SKU or weight during checkout, a virtual free product is used to carry the additional SKU and weight information. As a result, the checkout page will appear as shown in the image below.

💡 SKU Advanced Settings
➖ SKU Separator
Define the character used to join multiple SKUs. The default separator is "-" (e.g., sku1-sku2)..
📤 Sku Output Method
Use virtual product to carry SKU — Default method. A free virtual product is added at checkout to carry the SKU. This may confuse customers but works well for ERP systems.
Include SKU inside option values — Stores SKU information inside the option value instead of creating a virtual product. This is more customer-friendly but less compatible with ERP systems.
SKU field label — If you choose Include SKU inside option values, you also need to set the option name used to store the SKU. The default name is “_SKU”.
📦 Use product SKU as prefix
Enable this setting if you want the final combined option SKU to include the product’s SKU as a prefix.

💡 Weight Advanced Settings
⚖️ Weight unit
The unit used for the weight added by app options. The default unit is “g”.
